The Ordinary Peeling Solution REVIEW

Just me again. With yet another AHA/BHA product. My fave!
Today I am going to tell you all about the new cult product from The Ordinary- Their "AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution" to be exact. I am sure you will have seen loads of photos of the Ordinary's peeling solution plastered online- mainly in the form of gals and guys posting selfies to show off its distinctive blood like appearance when on the skin. That isn't what caught my attention- what caught my attention was the whole "30% AHA" thing. I loooove me an AHA. The stronger the better for me! The Ordinary's Peeling Solutions comes in at a exceptionally reasonable £6.30, by the way.

The Body Shop Matte Liquid Lipsticks

The Body Shop's  Matte Liquid Lipsticks are by far my favourite affordable liquid lipsticks on the highstreet. They tick all the boxes in terms of colour selection, consistency/texture, how they wear and the colour pay off- and price, they come in at £6 each. Probably one of my favourite launches from The Body Shop in a long time, I'd highly recommend giving them a go if you are looking for an affordable liquid lip.

Barry M Fall In Love Palette REVIEW

The ever so popular warm eyeshadow trend seems to finally be making its way into drugstores. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Fall In Love Palette from Barry M in my local Superdrug store. The Fall in Love palette features 10 completely matte, warm toned shadows.

The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% REVIEW

The Ordinary are really creating a buzz right now with their high tech, yet highly affordable skincare range. Owned by Deciem, The Ordinary have quickly become a brand I have incorporated into my skincare routine.

The Ordinary's 10% Lactic Acid treatment is a product that has changed my skin. I love AHA/BHA treatments, I use them regularly in my skincare routine to help tackle issues such as congestion and blackheads. The Ordinary Lactic Acid treatment is easily one of the most effective skincare items I have ever used.

The Body Shop Shine Liquid Lip Review (and Swatches)

The launch of The Body Shop's matte liquid lips, for me, was one of my favourite new releases from The Body Shop of the whole of last year. This year, they have come out with a whole new liquid lip- with a shine.

The Liquid Lip Shines come in 6 shades, varying from practically clear to a juicy cherry red. Like their matte liquid lip sisters, they are only £6, which I think is a fantastic price point!

The Best Clay Masks

I always say you shouldn't pay a lot for clay masks- and I do stand by that. However, when your skin falls into the "congested/oily/gritty feeling/generally feels icky without a good clarifying mask" there is nothing better than investing in a good clay based mask. I thought- since my skin can come under that category- that I'd share some of my favourite clay masks. Covering those that cost as little as £6, to ones that you might feel a bit sick adding to your basket.

I'll start with the sick one..

GlamGlow SuperMud Clearing Treatment is a life saver. And it should be for the price- just a casual £45 for some mud. Good mud, at that. I will use this if I want to see an instant reduction in the appearance of blemishes.  This is the only mask that I find will reduce swelling and redness on blemishes after one use. It also wipes out blackheads effortlessly, but the effect it has on surface blemishes is why I happily (kinda) pay £45 a pop for. I find it great to use before a night out as it gets your skin overall looking a lot clearer and more even.

My middle of the range choice is Caudalie Instant Detox Mask. Ah, this little gem has never done me wrong. I love it! Pop it on and after 10 minutes it has got into all your clogged pores and blackheads. It wipes them out after one use and leaves your skin looking and feeling fantastic! It uses pink clay, which I find does really absorb into my skin, you can see where it has sunk into the pores and pulled everything out. You'll be around about £22 for a Caudalie Instant Detox Mask but it really is worth every penny- I totally love it!

My last- but by no means least- is my total hidden gem. It is a complete and utter bargain at only £6 and works a dream. The nSpa Glow Mud Mask. Yes, yes yes. This stuff is so bloody good! I would happily pay 5 times as much for it. This little guy is fantastic for removing blackheads, I will quite often just apply it around my nose rather than my own face and it works so well! Leave it on for 10-15 minutes and after your skin will be blackhead and congestion free. I do find I need to use it more often than other masks, however, when I am only paying £6 a pop, I really do not mind! And the results are instant.

Do you have a favourite clay mask that I have not mentioned in this post? Let me know about it in the comments below!

Thank you for reading.

REVIEW The Body Shop Firming Range Spa of The World

The Body Shop have expanded their luxurious Spa Of The World bodycare range to now include the "Firming Ritual". The new line features 3 products;

Thai Markrut Lime Firming Oil £18
French Grape Seed Scrub £22
Ethiopian Green Coffee Cream £25

All the products are made with ingredients specifically designed to firm and tone the appearance of the skin. I am so impressed with this range! Usually, when I see products claiming to "reduce cellulite" and "visibly firm the skin" I think it is all a marketing scheme and forget about it. However- I am truly so impressed with the Firming Range from The Body Shop.

I noticed a difference in the appearance of my skin the first time I used it. Did it completely wipe away any trace of cellulite? No. But it did make my skin look and feel smooth, toned, even- Basically everything you want your skin to look like!

The Ordinary Skincare HAUL

The Ordinary is a skincare brand I first saw on ASOS. The simplistic, almost medicinal style packaging is what caught my eye at first. Followed by the surprising price tag- Everything was under £10. Usually, I don't like cheap skincare. I don't see how it can be good and cost so little. Call me a skincare snob? I'll take it. What made me go for it was the fact they are made my Deciem. A brand I love and trust. NIOD, Hylamide and Grow Gorgeous (although I believe they have just sold GG recently) are just a few brand under the Deciem name, which also happen to do some of my favourite products.

I ordered a few bits from ASOS anyway to give it a go after I started seeing it pop up all over Instagram, soon followed by YouTube videos and so on.
