The BEST Highlighting Brush | Morphe M501 Review

Now, I am just going to state straight away that the Morphe M501 will only be classed as the best highlighting brush for those that like a less than subtle glow from their highlighting powders. If you want a soft, subtle sheen on the top of your cheek bones, then sorry, this is not for you.

I pair the Morphe 501 brush with any highlighter I use. I mainly reach for serious glow givers such as the Balm Mary Lou-Manizer or BECCA Champagne Pop. Both highlighters are intense as it is but when paired with the Morphe M501 brush, it amps up the glow even more!

Morphe m510, Morphe brushesThe Morphe M501 is a small, tapered brush with long, soft bristles. There's just something about the shape or the length of the hairs that allows it to pick up a lot of product (which is why if you like a subtle highlight, this is not for you!) with just one sweep. Despite picking up a lot of product, it never applies it in a heavy/chunky/chalky manner. It spreads the product effortlessly and evenly over the cheeks to give the most gorgeous glow. The shape is great too, it is quite small but fluffy, so it stops you applying highlight in areas you don't want it. This is a problem I found when using something like a fan brush, it may have a lot to do with the fact I have a small face and would end up with highlighter directly under my eyes and down past my contour by using a brush of that style, it was simply too big for my face, even when I would try and be really precise with where I applied it. The Morphe M501 allows you to be very precise as to where you apply your highlight but the long, soft bristles then allow you to blend and buff the product out effortlessly!

Not only is the Moprhe M501 a great brush, it is also super affordable and great quality! It washes really well and holds it's shape, it has puffed out slightly but that is something that tends to naturally happen to brushes once they've been "worn in".

Have you tried the Morphe M501 before? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

Thank you for reading.
