So, what happens when you don't get along with a wonder product like this? In my case, it irritated my skin. I think anyone with a more sensitive skin type may find this is the problem. Caudalie Beauty Elixir is loaded with essential oils, which is great, but can be irritating to a more sensitive skin type (I would not call my skin "sensitive" it can just be funny with essential oils in some products.)
Caudalie actually offer another product that I've been using for a long time before the Beauty Elixir and it acts as a great alternative; their Grape Water.
Sure, it isn't as fancy looking as the beauty elixir and far more simplified in formulation but that is exactly what I wanted. The main ingredient in this is 100% organic grape water, which Caudalie are known for infusing into a lot of their products. The grape water spray is super gentle and soothing on the skin and personally I find it far more hydrating, too.
You can use this in the exact same way you would the Beauty Elixir, as a toner or throughout the day as a refreshing mist. It still adds a lovely glow to the skin too. The only thing I'd be careful with is it a slightly heavier spray than the Beauty Elixir so don't spray too much over your makeup!
Oh, also, it is super cheap. You can get 2 200ml cans of Grape Water on Feel Unique for £20, whereas you're paying £32 for 100ml of Beauty Elixir.
Have you used either of these Caudalie products before? Which one do you prefer. Let me know in the comments.
Thanks for reading.
